Join Our Mission to Close the Digital Divide and Create a More Inclusive, Innovative and Equitable World
The Wireless Research Center, since its founding in 2010, has grown from an independent, nonprofit, research and engineering technology center to a multidisciplinary group dedicated to transforming communities through a combination of social and technical (sociotechnical) solutions that drive economic development, innovate technology and create digital equity.
To better reflect its mission and impact, the organization is rebranding to “WRC.” To fund this shift and scale its impact, WRC announced its first Annual Fund Campaign with a goal of raising $750,000. Funds will be used primarily to scale WRC’s DigitalBridge initiative and WRC's ability to pursue funding opportunities with an explicit emphasis for digital equity.
We’re on a mission to close the digital divide.
Rooted in digital equity, WRC’s DigitalBridge initiative helps people in underserved communities gain digital skills, access new careers and improve livelihoods.
Improve livelihoods for underserved communities through digital upskilling
Restore America’s competitive advantage
Help create a more inclusive, innovative and equitable world
WRC’s DigitalBridge, in partnership with the Town of Wake Forest, NC and with the support of $1.2M in ARP funding from the Town, launched its first hub at the W.E.B. Dubois Center. Building on this success and in response to broad regional interest, WRC seeks to scale the CRM, LMS and backend systems to deploy DigitalBridge in other communities in NC and nationally.
Our goal is to impact 10,000 American households by 2030.
Your donation and support helps enable our ability to scale DigitalBridge and replicate it in other states across the nation. WRC is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
